“Creativity is an attitude, a way of looking at something, a way of questioning, perhaps a way of life — it may well be found on paths we have not yet travelled.” – Viola Spolin
I teach improv for The Second City Training Center, both in The Second City’s classrooms and on site in Chicago area schools. I’ve worked with students and teachers on using theater games in the classroom as a way to build teamwork, self-confidence and literacy skills.
I’ve also taught improv and/or theater programs at the Old Town School of Folk Music, West Ridge Park District in Highland Park, Emerald City Theatre Company, Novel Ideas and the Chicago Improv Festival.
I earned my MS in Elementary Education from Mercy College while teaching Second Grade in the Bronx, NY, as a corps member of Teach For America.
